The objectives of Sigma Mu and its members, honorary and otherwise, are:
· To promote Mechanical Engineering, and related fields, by hosting a variety of events, technical and non-technical in nature, suitable for various audiences.
· To encourage new students, as well as those already in Mechanical Engineering.
· To show appreciation, through the Sigma Mu Engineering Foundation, to those who practice and/or teach Mechanical Enigneering with passion, that they may serve as examples to those who doubt this Profession.
